托马斯·卡扎科斯是国际航运公会的秘书长。在此之前，自1995年以来，他曾担任塞浦路斯航运商会的总干事。他曾长期担任塞浦路斯航运协会总干事，自1995年起便领导这个代表塞浦路斯参与ICS事务的国家级会员组织。在任期间，他积极参与ICS董事会的工作，在国际航运业的法规、运营及法律事务等关键领域，为协会战略的制定贡献了重要力量。

　　托马斯曾就读于英国莱斯特大学，获得法学学士学位和欧洲与国际贸易法硕士学位。托马斯的职业生涯始于塞浦路斯雇主与工业家联合会，随后加入塞浦路斯航运商会。在国际舞台上，托马斯不仅代表塞浦路斯参与ICS和欧洲船东协会董事会的工作，还担任欧洲海事安全局管理委员会成员。

 

Thomas A. Kazakos is the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), having previously served as Director General of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC), the representative National-Member Association of Cyprus at ICS, since 1995. Throughout his last tenure, he actively participated at the ICS Board, contributing in shaping the Association’s strategy on all regulatory, operational, and legal issues concerning the international shipping industry. 

Thomas studied at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and a Master‘s Degree in European and International Trade Law (LL.M). Thomas began his professional career at the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation prior to joining the Cyprus Shipping Chamber. Internationally Thomas has represented Cyprus on the board of ICS and the European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA) in addition to being an Administrative Board member of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
